The importance of the mobile & tablet UI was a major factor in our design due to the ever increasing mobile webpage visits. We ensured the design was intuitive to use on both desktop and mobile devices.
Walk through the door of iMobile Repair and you'll find a thriving business with professional technicians, able to assist you with all your technology woes, – but search for them online and you found an outdated website designed and built almost 7 years ago. It looked a bit bland, was hard to update, and more than a little bit clunky to use – especially on mobile. They needed a visually stunning website that could do justice to the professional services they offer and showcase their capabilities to the surrounding area.
We worked closely with the iMobile Repair team to understand exactly what they wanted from their site, and they consistently gave us great feedback throughout the entire process to help us deliver everything they needed. The website created was functional, modern and had a UI that was very intuitive for the customer.
From a client perspective, we used a modular CMS backend that allowed for even those with minimal programming knowledge the ability to update and amend the site without requiring the assistance of a third party in order to do so. This allows the iMobile team to create new content from a bank of highly flexible design elements, choosing from background colours and text styles, spacings and a variety of functions. These elements can then be dragged and dropped to create a limitless combination of layouts that nonetheless retain that visual consistency of the site as a whole.
The main focus of the design and build was ease of use – providing clear user journeys for new users. In turn a new sitemap and menu structure made the site easier to navigate, bringing visitor information, call to actions, and booking activities to the forefront.
To take iMobile Repairs service to the next level, we also added a bespoke online booking system that allows a perspective customer to book an appointment online at an allotted time slot. This allows iMobile to offer a repair while you wait service, which was a game-changer for the business model. To coincide with this a backend appointment calendar was developed to manage or amend bookings, generate invoices and collect customer data.
